A few year's ago, I was asked if I was interested in doing every peak in the Canadian Rockies. I said, sure, why not? Then I found out there are over 1000...Even at 2 a week thats over 10 years. So I decided maybe that was unrealistic.

A year or so later I was asked about Everest. For a mere $65,000.00 and a hell of a lot of training, it's pretty easily doable. Not interested, but thanks.

While researching Everest, I stumbled upon the Canadian Summit Expedition. Basically they are climbing the highest point of each province and territory. Cool! But I think they are cheating. Quebec and Labrador (mainland NFL) have the same peak (both claim it, but with different names), so you get a 2 for 1 deal. I figured that I'd make the highest point of Newfoundland (the rock) my 13th point. Here is the list:

How about low points like caves? Well Canada is really boring for that, we don't have anything natural below sea level, so visit the shoreline of every province and territory. Alberta's low point is the Slave River at the NWT border. Saskatchewan's low point is Lake Athabasca at the Alberta border. Ride the Skytrain in Vancouver on the Canada line into downtown to get to the lowest man-made point.
